Free STL viewer
Open an STL, 3MF, STEP or OBJ file and see the model in 3D right in your browser, with its dimensions, volume and triangle count. The file stays on your computer. If you want the model printed, take it on to a price calculation in one click.
About the STL viewer
The STL viewer shows the model the way a 3D printer sees it: the shape, in millimetres. Drag to turn the model and scroll to zoom. If it looks right, you can order a 3D print of it straight away.
STL file FAQ
What is an STL file?
STL is the most common file format for 3D printing. It describes the surface of a model as a mesh of triangles, without colour or material. Most CAD programs and model sites can save or download a model as STL.
How do I open an STL file?
Open it here and it is shown in 3D right in the browser. There is nothing to install, and it works on a computer and on a phone.
Can I convert 3MF or STEP to STL?
Yes. Open the 3MF, STEP or OBJ file here and press Download as STL, and you get a binary STL of the same model in millimetres. Colours and settings in a 3MF do not come along, since an STL only describes the shape.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read in your browser and does not leave your computer here. If you press Get a price for a print, you go on to Order a 3D print, where the file is uploaded so that the price can be calculated.
