Which material should I choose?

PLA suits decorations, figures and most things that stay indoors, with sharp detail and a matt finish. PETG is tougher and copes better with heat and moisture, so it suits brackets, holders and things that live outdoors. Neither takes high heat, so neither belongs in a dishwasher or a hot car.

There is more about the differences in our guide PLA or PETG.

What does 3D printing cost?

The price depends on how much material the print uses, how long it takes to print, how much support material it needs and how many copies you order. It includes VAT, and you see it before you order.

You can order 1 to 20 copies of a file. For more, send the file for a quote and we will come back with a fixed price. There is more about what affects the price in our guide What does a 3D print cost?.

3D printing FAQ

Which files can I upload?

STL, 3MF, STEP or OBJ, up to 50 MB. The file should be drawn in millimetres.

How soon will I get my 3D print?

Custom prints are normally dispatched within 7 days of payment. Delivery then normally takes 1 to 3 working days.

Can you 3D print a spare part?

Yes, if you have a model of the part. PETG is the better choice for parts that take load, heat or moisture. A 3D printed part should not be used where a break could cause harm, such as in brakes, steering or child car seats.

Can I order more than 20 copies?

Yes. Send the file for a quote on this page, and we will look at it and email you a fixed price. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

What happens to my file?

The file is only used to calculate the price and make your order. A file that does not lead to an order is deleted after 7 days. There is more in our privacy policy.

Just want to look at the file?

Open it in our free STL viewer. It shows the model in 3D with its dimensions and volume, and the file stays in your browser. You can also save a 3MF, STEP or OBJ file as STL there.

May I print a model I have downloaded?

You are responsible for having the right to have the model printed. Check the licence on the site where you found it, for example whether it is for personal use only.
